This stereograph was taken of a train wreck that Farwell Brown feels happened on the west part of Ames due to the slope of the tracks. On the back of this stereograph in Martin's own handwriting is the date of the wreck: April 24, 1884.

This is a shot of the Squaw Creek bridge taken in 1887. Later, around 1900, this bridge was torn down in order to build a two track bridge. Location of this bridge would be to the south of the current 6th Street road bridge.
